Armin came on over on Saturday and laid 2 tracks down (that's him panned left). My little project started and was abandoned 1 year ago in Germany, so this was started over to distance myself from the bad vibes.

Here is a dark and minimalistic cover I recorded last week when I newly ditched Cakewalk Sonar. I've been getting more and more interested in the use of Virtual Instruments, which are handled so much more efficiently in Steinberg Nuendo 3.

Although I had reservations about posting this, the feedback I got on this track boosted my confidence level enough to want to share this with the world. My neighbor Tim came over one evening and saw me recording the track. He offered to lay down some bass tracks and the rest is history.

When Jason was over, he helped me EQ the bass to getting souding better as it was not used through an effects processor. Here it is... my first collaboration.

I'd gotten frustrated with the quality of my recordings, which resulted in the purchase of a Studio Projects B1 condenser microphone. Because the mic required Phantom Power, the logical decision was to go with the M-Audio's Mobile PreUSB soundcard to replace my SoundBlaster and get the phantom power I needed: kill two birds with one stone.

So, I have a couple cool posts coming, but just to keep the blogging momentum going, I'll write about my drupal site not indexing properly. Since I'm getting closer to this CMS launch for our company's new Asia Pacific office, I had to make sure I got this solved ASAP.

Ever since the 1990's, I've been shooting amateur footage with friends about the things we were really interested in at the time. It was great to capture those moments and to be able to share things visually to our other friends and acquaintances.
